Announcements, Events, and Deadlines in MyLaw display in a number of different ways in order give users maximum and relevant exposure to communication within the school. On a user's homepage, announcements and events are ordered and displayed based on that user's impressions (the total number of times an item has been displayed to that user). Items seen less will appear at the top, items seen most, at the bottom. Items will no longer display in this part after reaching an impression threshold. However, users can always find a comprehensive list of all events and announcements in the MyLaw Calendar. The frequency in which users log in to their homepage and/or visit other pages displaying that announcement, event, or deadline will impact impression totals. As a result, one user's homepage at any given time may appear differently than other users.
The chart below shows the display behavior of the various communication pieces within MyLaw and the UCLA Law Insider email. All views are limited by target audiences except the Events & Deadlines section of the MyLaw Calendar, which shows content targeted to all audiences.
