As UCLA students, you will always have access to LexisNexis Academic Universe, while your Lexis.com accounts will expire at the end of this quarter.
Basically, Academic Universe includes all of the same primary law (cases, statutes and regulations) and law review articles as Lexis.com. The main differences are in the area of secondary sources, which include practitioner treatises and other practice guides, and fancier search and navigation features for Lexis.com law school users. Nonetheless, Academic Universe more than covers the legal research needs of most undergrads. Keep in mind that you also have access to the law library's print and digital collection.
