The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) is the agency responsible for the administration and enforcement of California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, age (over 40), disability (mental and physical), sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, medical condition, genetic information, marital status and military or veteran status.
