Virus Researchers Cast Doubt On Theory Of Coronavirus Lab AccidentBoth articles cast heavy doubt on the theory that the virus originated in labs in Wuhan. Using genome sequence data, US researchers have confirmed in lab studies that the virus originated in animals (likely bats) as opposed to being engineered. Scientists in both China and the US have also refuted the notion that the virus came from laboratory animal testing based on several characteristics of the virus and due to the manner in whichthis type of scientific research occurs. I thought these sources may be important because I noticed that the lab origin theory has become much more discussed since I last sent over sources.
