Ace & Bailey

Ace (left) and Bailey (right) belong to Daniel Sanchez-Salazar in IT.

Addie

The super cute Addie belongs to Caitlin Hunter in the Library.

Alaster & Kingsley

How to reduce stress during finals (a tip from Alaster and Kingsley): Naps are restorative! These sibling kitties belong to Brian Hansen in the Records Office.

Arya & Shuri

Arya (right) and Shuri (left) make a rambunctious “vorite” pair. They love napping, playing, and watching cat TV. They belong to Andrea Noto, who is the Admissions Coordinator in Admissions. 

Baelish

Baelish

Baelish is a 9-year-old Arabian Mau.  He was a street kitten in Abu Dhabi until he rescued himself by hopping up on the lap of our neighbor, while she was sitting outside.  He has since grown into a criminal mastermind who will likely need a good defense attorney in the future.  He's incredibly smart and knows more than a dozen verbal/gesture commands. He belongs to Jon Rogers of the Empirical Research Group.

Barry

The beautiful Barry is hanging out in the Moot Court Room here. He belongs to Brenda Suttonwills, the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives

Belle

Belle is a sweet and energetic maltipoo puppy. She loves to play, and chew on her stuffed bunny! Belle belongs to Marta Martinez in the Library.

Bennie

This rescue pup, Bennie (aka Destroyer of Squeakers) belongs to Elsa Duong, who works in the Masters of Legal Studies Program.

Buster & Scorch

Here’s a photo of Scorch and Buster cat camping.  They lasted about 3 minutes. They belong to Brad Sears in Public Interest Programs. 

Butters

Butters

This is Butters. Sometimes cute, always sassy!  Butters belongs to Nancy Le at the Lowell Milken Institute.

Callie

The beautiful Callie belongs to Sangeeta Pal in the Library.

Callipoe & Cassandra

These lovely kitties belong to Patrick Lavey of the Library.

Cannoli & Zeppoli

Cannoli and Zeppoli belong to Jamie Libonate in Public Interest. Jamie says: We started fostering them when they were found at 2 weeks old and then we officially adopted them once they were old enough. 

Cannoli is the gray tabby on the left, and his sister, Zeppoli, is the all gray kitten on the right.

Chona

Chona belongs to Daniel Sanchez-Salazar in IT. Daniel says: "my cousin brought the cat from a construction site when he was living with me and left her behind when he moved out."  He is the one who named her Chona.

Coco

Coco is a one-year-old Shih Tzu mix belong to Mailo Haro in IT Development. Coco enjoys walks on the beach and playing fetch!

Coco & Max

Coco and Max are sister and brother, even though they don’t look identical.  Their full names are Coco Louise Haring Greener McAllister and Maxwell Ford Haring Greener McAllister. They belong to Gary Greener in the Office of Career Services.
 

Coco & Nico

These two adorable pups belong to Lauren Kim of the Dean's Office.

Drax the Destroyer

He may be small, but he is Mighty!  Drax loves to play ball and enjoys sticking his head out the window during car rides.

Drax the Destroyer belongs to Alexandra Mata, the Program Coordinator for the Institute for Technology, Law and Policy.

Effie

The lovely Effie belongs to Jonathan Rosales in Development.

Fig

Fig was adopted in by Jennifer Garafolo in the Library. Fig spends her days squirrel and bird watching. She lives for a good mail day that brings a new cardboard box to explore!

Finn

Finn

Finnregard "That Might Have Been Food" Kibblesbottom is a 6-year-old Arabian Mau mix.  Finn was also a street kitten. We rescued him, his mother, and two of his brothers in 2017.  His mother had hidden the family inside of a grated wall behind NYU Abu Dhabi's campus... more than 40 feet up above street level.  Unlike his older brother, Finn never developed the savviness common to other street cats.  His favorite pastimes include sun naps and testing inanimate objects to see if they are or are not edible. Finn is one of Jon Rogers' (Empirical Research Group) three kitties!

Frankie

The adorable Frankie belongs to Sangeeta Pal in the Library.

Fred

Fred is a 2-year-old Bernedoodle belonging to  Andrea Monos in the Office of Career Services. As you can see, he loves the beach!

Gidget

Here’s Gidget! She loves walks and cuddles. Gidget belongs to Jordana Ruhland in the Records Office.

Goldie

Goldie belongs to Lara Stemple in Graduate Studies. She doesn’t like the sound of vacuum cleaners and turns to belly rubs and piano music to unwind. 

Hector

Hector is a 4-year-old Poodle-Golden Retriever mix (aka Goldendoodle). UCLA is one of his favorite places to take walks. Hector loves to chase squirrels and bark at them. Hector belongs to Michelle Lew in the IT Department.

Hunter

Hunter belongs to Frank Lopez in Communications. Here he is resting after a long Zoom!

Ivan

Ivan's Tips for a successful finals season:

  1. Get plenty of fresh air and sunshine.
  2. Drink lots of water (even if it means someone has to spray it directly in your mouth with a spray bottle).
  3. Eat healthy snacks (veggies are the best!)
  4. Don't forget to treat yourself to some fluffy blanket time.

Ivan the incredible Iguana belongs to Summer Rose in the Library. 

Jack

Jack, the Shih Tzu, is Max Belasco's. Max works in IT. Jack is a rescue, who would love to be an in person therapy dog!

Jack

Jack is a beagle mix, so he won’t stop “talking” whenever he wants something! Jack belongs to Scott MacKnight, who works in IT.

Kovu

Kovu belongs to Elcar Gil in the Library. Elcar says "60 percent of the time, Kovu is a good boy all the time." He likes to eat, chew on his favorite toys, and long walks anywhere.

Lynn, the turtle

Lynn, the Berry Slayer

Lynn is a red eared slider turtle who also happens to be a bit of a trouble maker. She will interfere with home workouts, walk over your foot when you're in a meeting, and loves to hide in hard to reach spots. Her favorite thing to do is walk around with a berry in her mouth as a trophy before eating it. Lynn belongs to Summer Rose in the Library.

Luca

Luca

Luca the pug is a menace, who enjoys dinosaurs, ice cream, cuddling, and cartoons. Luca's mom is Rue Cepeda who works for the Native Nations Law & Policy Center.

Luna D. Waxman

This is Luna D. Waxman ("D" stand for dog). She is pretty lazy but does like the beach!

Luna belongs to Grace Meng in the Epstein Program.

Miles

Miles, a Shih Tzu, belongs to Carmina Ocampo in Student Affairs. He loves cheese and his fur is very soft & fluffy. He looks like a cloud after he has been washed & groomed. Pontiff Miles is sporting his Halloween costume here!

Mr. Pickles and Sally

Mr. Pickles

Mr. Pickles (top) is picture here with his friend Sally.  He enjoys cilantro and lounging on the sofa while watching Zootopia.  Mr. Pickles belongs to Tiffany Chung in Academic Human Resources.

Mona

Mona

Mona, with the beautiful green eyes, belongs to Casey Caprioglio who works with the Faculty Support Group. Casey says Mona "is the most talkative cat I have ever met and so silly."

Motu

Motu is a labradoodle who loves the beach! Motu belongs to Andrea Monos in the Office of Career Services.

Olive

Olive loves to sleep on a certain blue chair and if anyone else sits there she stares at them waiting for them to move!  Olive belongs to Rachel Estrada in the Milken Institute.

Penelope

Penelope is an 8 year old Samoyed who belongs to Erin Han in the Office of Career Services.  She is a floofy joy who loves to think up new and interesting ways to outsmart her humans.

Penny

Penny belongs to Daniel Sanchez-Salazar in IT.  Daniel says he rescued her in 2009 and that "we selected her because she was the only dog in the pound that didn't look scared, didn't bark and was very friendly."

Penny Bell

The adorable puppy is Beth Moeller's (of Career Services) niece!

Peppermint

Peppermint, who belongs to Victoria Ferroni in the Library, was rescued around the Christmas Holidays – hence his name. Victoria says, "Something I like about my Peppermint is that he eats eggs every morning to keep his body looking good!" 

Piojo

Piojo is doing what he loves best--being outdoors on an adventure! He belongs to Clarissa Moran who works in the Williams Institute.  

Quinn

Quinn

Quinn is a Labradoodle who belongs to Alexis Schrock in Communications. Fun Fact: He loves to get Puppuccinos from Starbucks! 

Riley

Riley certainly has her quarantine routine down pat! And yes, Netflix, she is still watching. Riley belongs to Caitlin Caughlin in the Dean's Office.

Salem (left) & Kiki

They are sisters adopted in January 2021 from St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary in Canyon Country. While Kiki is blind and relies on Salem for some guidance around the house, she is the boss of everyone in the household! They belong to David Cappoli in Communications and Cindy Spadoni in the Library.

Sarky

Exercise is a great way to destress, so here is Sarky, the Dachshund, shooting some hoops. She may not be very tall, but she's a monster in the paint. She belongs to Michael Karanicolas in the Institute for Technology Law & Policy.

Schatzi

Schatzi

Schatzi is a 4-year-old, long haired dwarf of a cat or cat of a dwarf.  She hails from dungeons deep and caverns old. When she's not perched on a lap, she enjoys singing of glorious deeds accomplished by her and her ancestors.  She is a recent addition to our household, but has quickly become known as the Dread Empress for her love of sitting on piles of cushions and lording over her brothers while looking down on them disapprovingly. Schatzi is the another of Jon Rogers' (ERG) three cats.

Shulamith

Shulamith, Shulie for short, also belongs to Max Belasco. She, along with her brother Jack, is a rescue.

Snuggles

Snuggles, snuggling. Snuggles also belongs to Frank Lopez in Communications.

Stray Cats

Working can wait...

Here are two of the stray cats who adopted Andres Ybarra's family. Andres works in the Library.

Stray Cats -- the gang

Here is the rest of the stray cat gang who adopted Andres' family. Morris is orange. Drug Killer and Shadow Killer are the black cats, eating. Momma Cat in the middle, always looking at you, she trusts no one. Next to her is Snowball (white). Bubbles is the gray cat and--ugh!--she’s pregnant! (Anyone looking to adopt kittens?) And lastly by the gate, Mr. McFeely (Siamese). All are COVID-19 refugees. Can you tell his kiddo named the kitties?

Tallulah

Tallulah is a nearly 2 year old rescue pup, she loves to burrow under anything (especially the duvet)! Here she is--caught in the act! Naughty Tallulah! She belongs to Kate Mackintosh from the Promise Institute.

Teddy

Teddy belongs to Frank Lopez in Communications and completes his trio of fluffy white dogs!

Zayn

Zayn belongs to Jamie Libonate in Public Interest.

Zooey

Zooey is a miniature dachshund, who loves sunbathing, squeaky toys, and cuddles. Zooey belongs o Emily Ngo in the Master of Legal Studies program.
