Includes an overview of California and Federal law, descriptions of enforcement by both the Department of Labor (DOL) and the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), as well as information for both plaintiffs and defendants on litigating a wage and hour case.

The Department of Labor has a Wage and Hour Division (WHD).
